10 challenges to get the most out of your Children’s Activity business
September (AKA back to school month!) is such an exciting month for anyone working in the children’s activity business. We have some ideas around how to challenge and set goals for yourself and the teams around you. Check out below and get in touch if we can help with anything to support you.
1. Innovation Challenge
Challenge: brainstorm and present new ideas that could improve products, services, or internal processes. The best idea can be implemented with a reward for the team or a member of the team
Goal: Build creativity and drive innovation within the company.
2. Sustainability Challenge
Challenge: Find ways to reduce waste, conserve energy, or implement eco-friendly practices. It’s such a big part of our world now and you can talk about this on social media. Customer love to hear about these improvements.
Goal: Promote environmental responsibility and your business sustainability.
4. Customer Service Challenge
Challenge: Motivate employees to deliver outstanding customer service by either gaining reviews or running a customer survey using something like survey monkey. You can reward based on the results. It’s worth continually asking for this feedback so you can have build your reviews on Google, have social media content and keep your team motivated - wins all round!
Goal: Improve customer satisfaction, loyalty and ultimately word of mouth
5. Learning and Development Challenge
Challenge: Encourage your team to complete a development session. Check out different ideas of personal development learning they could participate in. Even better find something that you could train them in, these are such great team building experiences and really rewarding as a leader too.
Goal: Invest in employee growth and improve the overall team and individual motivation.
7. Sales and Marketing Challenge
Challenge: Set yourself some targets for a local marketing campaign. In todays world of social media it’s too often that we ignore our local market which is so important in the children’s activity sector. We know from data that word of mouth is hands down the best marketing tool we own!
Goal: Build numbers across your classes and have fun marketing your amazing business
9. Community Engagement Challenge
Challenge: As above by involving yourself within your local community, find something that you can support locally which will support your marketing efforts but also means that you are volunteering some time.
Goal: Strengthen the company's community presence and promote social responsibility.
10. Website/Process review
Challenge: Do a full review of your website and all customer facing media. Too many of us ignore our old and tired branding. Use those fabulous ideas you have about how you want to appeal to new customers and plan some changes. Do this across your whole customer journey.
Goal: Enhance your working practices and save yourself time!
